Swim Ireland’s Swim a Mile
Swim Ireland is rolling out nationally it’s Swim for a Mile event, which it piloted last year and has confirmed that it will take place in the Watershed on the 22nd May 2015. The event involves a 1600m swim, with the objective being to promote swimming and fitness. The Watershed in conjunction with the Kilkenny Sports Partnership are running a series of coached sessions for adults on Friday evenings to help people train for the event. The sessions are coached by Pat Boyd are at no extra cost to the normal entry fee to the Watershed (and free for Watershed members). The sessions are 45 minutes long and commence at 7.30pm and 8.45pm. Anyone who is interested can simply turn up on Friday evenings and take part.
